Crook Farm

About the farm

Crook Farm is a living history museum located on the original farmstead of the Crook family. The Crooks arrived in the area in the 1850’s and maintained ownership of the farm through four generations until 1974 when it was purchased by the Bradford Landmark Society. The site is home to the original Crook Family farmhouse (1856), as well as several original and reproduction structures that were relocated to or constructed on-site. The farm is also home to the Olmstead Oil Well, the first large producing oil well of the historic Bradford Oil Field. This collection of historic structures provides a glimpse into the life of late 19th century rural America, small scale farming, and oil production.
